Summary |
|
SIMON PURE tracked
the dueling leaders four wide under light rating, wrested command
in the upper stretch, moved well clear and was in hand the final
100 yards as much the best. JUSTA STREAK settled in behind horses
two wide, was never far back, advanced between foes four wide into
the lane and was clear for the place. HE LOVES ME NOT, sluggish to
begin and outsprinted for a half, lacked room entering the upper
stretch, rallied three wide when nearing the eighth pole, fanned
wider, drifted seven wide in the late going and earned the show.
MORADA KEY drifted out on FIRST REGENT at the start, was outrun
for a half, circled horses ten wide and managed a minor gain.
DEMARCATION, soundly bumped by FIRST REGENT when that one came out
at the start, settled three wide, made a mild run six or seven
wide into the upper stretch and failed to continue. GRAND ALIBI
raced near the inside most of the way and had no rally. ALL MAN
went up early to contest the pace three or four wide, battled with
SHARP ATTACK while outside that one, gained a slight lead but
faltered in the drive. FIRST REGENT bore out at the start bumping
the side of the gate, continued into DEMARCATION, was bumped soon
after by MORADA KEY when that one came out, raced in contention
for a half and weakened. WEST TO DURANGO stalked the pace five
wide to the stretch and tired. SHARP ATTACK gained a slim lead
inside early, battled with ALL MAN while inside that one for a
half and tired. |
