Race Summary
JUSTA STREAK stalked the pace from early on while four or five wide and closed determinedly under pressure from that point on the track to wear down the leaders. DA CARDINAL, up close three abreast from the start, engaged front-running CHIEF EXPORT in earnest at the furlong grounds, loomed boldly between foes and was second best. CHIEF EXPORT gained the lead early, relaxed while showing the way from the two path, was engaged at the furlong grounds and held on stubbornly. GOLDEN GLEN, within easy striking distance and along the rail from early on, had aim but couldn't offer a closing kick. ANTRIM COUNTY, never far back and between horses three or four wide, also lacked a closing punch. THREE CITIES, within striking distance and four wide throughout, failed to offer a closing threat. CLEAR THE WAY followed the pace five wide and was empty when the test came. ESPRIT DU ROI (CHI), reserved soon after the start and outrun to the lane, came out wide and never fired. POLARITY, along the inside much of the way, weakened approaching the stretch. CAYENNE CALL raced forwardly between foes for a half and tired.
