Race Summary
THORN SONG pressed front-running LAUGHING BRAVE early, took over entering the far turn, drew clear into the upper stretch, then lasted under urging. WARN leaned in bumping MUTADDA at the start, was reserved near the inside early, moved between foes five wide approaching the stretch, then, while repeatedly changing leads and swerving in the final furlong, couldn't get up. MR. CHAMP, bumped at the start from both sides and squeezed, recovered to be forwardly placed, inched up behind the leaders entering the lane, bumped with TERROR ON TRACK and improved position. MUTADDA came out bumping MR. CHAMP at the start, settled inside, trailed to the lane, came out seven or eight wide for the drive and managed a mild gain. TERROR ON TRACK, never far back and four wide, made a run into the upper stretch, failed to sustain the needed momentum and bumped with MR. CHAMP in the final furlong. NOOTKA SOUND stalked the leaders three or four wide into the upper stretch and flattened out. DON'T FORGET MAMA stalked the pace four wide, bore out on the far turn and tired. LAUGHING BRAVE ducked out into the side of the gate at the break, gained a slim lead inside, made the pace to the end of the backstretch and weakened thereafter.
