NATIONAL CAPTAIN (SAF) raced in hand outside early, advanced three wide nearing the stretch, dug in determinedly when roused and prevailed under a drive. THORN SONG raced close up early, rallied outside and dug in gamely in the stretch. COSMIC KRIS was outrun early, rallied four wide on the turn and finished well outside. BARASTRAIGHT (GB) raced in hand early, put in a three wide run on the turn and weakened in the final furlong. REAL QUALITY was outrun early, raced inside, altered course in the stretch and rallied belatedly outside. THUNDER PASS had no rally. TRICKY CAUSEWAY raced inside and tired in the stretch. IDE REJOICE set the pace along the inside and tired in the stretch.
