THORN SONG close up along the inside, steadied midway through the second turn when attempting to move through inside the leader, recovered, took over from the rail entering the stretch, repulsed a bid by the runner up in midstretch and edged clear late. OBI WAN KENOBI reserved for a half, advanced inside into the second turn, angled out sharply four wide leaving the second turn when moving boldly to the leaders, drifted in in midstretch when moving to a challenging position then could not run with the winner in the final furlong. DEMARCATION outrun for a half, advanced three wide on the second turn, angled out for the drive but lodged only a mild late bid. FIVE STAR THIEF unhurried off the inside, made a good four wide move on the second turn, challenged approaching the stretch but tired in the drive. BUCKEYE BUDDY unhurried three wide, could not menace. TACTICAL WEAPON closest to the pace off the inside, challenged on the second turn but gave way in the stretch. ITSALLBOUTTHECHASE was no factor. SGT. BERT sprinted clear, set the pace, raced off the inside on the second turn and faded in the drive. |
